Summer 2013

It has been a very busy summer! It seems like we never stopped once we moved into our new house in May. There were so many times this summer where I stopped and thought "this has been the best summer I can remember." Even though all moments aren't picture perfect, I really cherish this season of time with our family. God has been so good to us.

Here is a quick review in pictures in no particular order.

We were so blessed to be able to take a family vacation to the beach again in September. This time we got to travel with our favorite cousins. Silas and Lucy still love the beach and we all had a nice time together. Vacations are a little busy when you have 4 adults and 4 kids 2 and under. :)

This is the day we arrived. Silas shouted with joy "Look, its a sand box!"
 Family time on the pier.
 Precious cousins

Silas and Lucy love their new big backyard.
 They loved all water activities
We visited the zoo too many times to count. We all love it!
Derek and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. Time flies.
This was the first kiddie pool swim of the summer.
Silas and Lucy finished their first year of MDO and celebrated with a picnic with their class.
We made a few trips to the local splash ground. Lucy loved to stick her head right in the water.

We enjoyed a lot of picnics on the deck. We love summer.
 Big kid swings.
We loved having a pool in the neighborhood so we spend a lot of evenings and Saturdays at the pool. Both kids loved swimming with their puddle jumpers on in the big pool.
We celebrated our cousins birthday. One in June and one in August.
Si and Lu got a sandbox and love to play in it.
We went blueberry picking with some dear friends.

In July we decided to join Daddy on a last minute work trip to Orlando and decided to treat the kids to a day at Disney. The kids enjoyed riding despite some initial nerves. Silas said he rode "dumbo- up and down, the spinning (teacups), and trains.

Our Uncle, Aunt, and cousins came to visit for the 4th of July. We went to the zoo and the science center together.
Silas and Lucy attended their first wedding and enjoyed dancing at the reception.

 Playing with the sprinkler

We walked across the Big 4 Bridge in Louisville and rented this fun bike to ride around on the waterfront.

In August the kids started their second school year at MDO. They are growing up so fast.
At their cousin Caroline's 2nd Birthday Party- farm themed.
They have transitioned to toddler beds and as of September we are diaper free during the day.

We had such a blessed summer with tons of wonderful memories.
